We are delighted to have considerable support from the AONB:
www.southdevonaonb.org.uk – who helped us with our special events this year: a bat walk, bird walk and lots of activities for our Open Day on 21 July – see our Special Events page.
We also have a drone video taken by Jo Johnston, aged 15, of the Church as it is now. If we are successful in our Round 2 application from the National Heritage Lottery Fund, Jo will take several more videos as the building works continue. Drone Video.
Activity Plan Development
One of the most important aspects of our Round 2 application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund is an Activity Plan. We have been developing this over the last eight months. We have piloted 11 activities with a twelfth to take place on 5 January 2020 – the Mummers Play.
We have also had an online survey with 109 responses as well as responses from those people attending the activities. In every instance the response has been very positive although two of the activities we have decided not to pursue – it was felt they would be better generated through the East Prawle History Society.
Partnerships were formed with:
- The East Prawle History Society
- The South Devon AONB
- The South West Maritime Archaeological Group (SWMAG)
- Dementia Friendly Kingsbridge
- The Cookworthy Museum, Kingsbridge
