St Sylvester's Font

It seems likely that the unadorned granite octagonal font belongs to this period [c.1536-1549], presumably at its latter end, as the lack of ornamentation is suggestive of the 1540s or even later. It is unlikely to date before C.1530 in any case, as the church, as a chapelry, did not have baptismal rights before then.
